The EyeDoctors was my first optometrist since moving to Manhattan. When I went in for my appointment the optometrist was nice enough, but the front end help was terrible. They were also misleading about billing. It wasn't anything too terrible, but I decided I didn't want to come back. However, four months after my eye exam, I wanted to change contact lens brands. I thought I could just order a box of a different brand, because the prescription didn't need to be changed. However, the people I spoke with told me that I would have to come in for an appointment. When I asked what that would entail, the gentleman I spoke with said that all I would need to do is come in for about 10 minutes, try on some trial pairs, they'd see how they fit, and then I could be on my way. I then scheduled my appointment, thinking it would only be a ten minute appointment. When I got there they proceeded to put me through a full eye exam, which I was told earlier wouldn't be necesarry. I became anxious because I needed to return to work, and I told my eye doctor that I thought this would be a short, ten-minute appointment. She was very short with me and then rudely asked if I needed to leave, or let her check me out. I didn't have time to stay, as it had already been 30 minutes at that point, and I needed to return to work. I had to then leave my appointment, getting nothing that I had been promised, without even an apology for the misunderstanding. My eye doctor is the best last two years I was completely done with your company due to bad customer service. I have been with your company for over 10 years. The only reason I came back this year was because of my eye doctor. She listens to me and helps me with my eyes. I always feel like she cares.

Kind of upset. Got the bill and it said it was seriously overdue. It's the FIRST time I got a bill. I got a statement of services, but I never got anything saying to pay now. I always pay immediately, and this upsets me a lot. You need to do a better job with your record keeping.

I am very pleased with Dr. Bechtold. Both my husband and I see him. Your eyeglass vendor on the other hand has been very poor for about the last year. It takes longer to get glasses. I picked a replacement pair and they sent back the original pair delaying the order. I took a pair in for repairs just after Thanksgiving. Today is December 28th and the lenses are in but the frames are not. I will likely continue to use Dr. Bechtold, but not purchases glasses here.
